Insource (Markham, Ontario), a Canadian leader in mailing and fulfillment, printing and packaging solutions and inkjet technology, has installed a Kirk Rudy Phoenix Inkjet System at direct-marketing specialist KeyContact (London, Ontario). KeyContact provides direct marketing, data management, graphic design, digital and offset print, mail processing and call-centre services to its clients in London, Canada, the U.S. and internationally. The company combines a data services bureau, full-service printer, lettershop, fulfillment house and contact centre all under one roof.

The Phoenix has the fastest speed (up to 600 ft./min.) and highest resolution (600 x 600 dpi) available with this type of equipment, including full 4¼-inch UV vertical print and an LED UV curing station. Text as small as 4 point is legible. Its modular design offers greater flexibility to combine the Phoenix printer with different technologies, such as feeding, UV curing, camera inspection, or host PC. Moreover, different head modules of the printer can be combined to make a more sophisticated printing system for different print widths with either monochrome or colour printing.

The install will enable KeyContact to take its services to the next level with added print capabilities on all substrates, both uncoated and coated (UV and AQ). “The deep black and crisp print absolutely jumps off the page with full variable capability, high quality graphics, all barcodes, dates, times, serial numbers and more,” said Insource President Tim Wakefield. “KeyContact can do it all for its customers with this new Phoenix Inkjet, and we’ll continue to provide ongoing service and support, as we always do.”
